About
Screenwriting software that stays with the script into pre-production.
Scripy is a web app for writing a screenplay and generating the documents a production reads next: AI script coverage, a script breakdown, and a shot list.
What Scripy does
You write in a Fountain screenplay editor, or you upload a script as PDF, Fountain, Final Draft (.fdx), or plain text. From that text, Scripy can run two kinds of analysis.
AI script coverage scores the screenplay on eight dimensions — concept, structure, character, dialogue, visual storytelling, pacing, originality, and tone — and returns a Pass, Consider, or Recommend verdict plus a beat sheet, character notes, and a rewrite queue.
A production script breakdown lists each scene's cast, props, SFX, VFX, wardrobe, and insurance flags, then groups scenes into schedule days, flags continuity issues, and builds a shot list with shot type, movement, and a lighting note. You can share a read-only link, or a QR code for that link, with someone who does not have an account.
The editor, including Fountain and text export, is free. Analyses are limited by plan: two lifetime on Free, 10 a month on Indie ($19/month or $190/year), and unlimited on Pro ($49/month or $489/year). Pro also exports the breakdown as XLSX. The full comparison is on pricing.
Who it's for
Writers
A Fountain editor for the draft, and script coverage when you want a scored read with a verdict and a rewrite list — without sending the script out for a separate coverage pass.
Productions
A script breakdown, shot list, schedule groups, and continuity flags generated from the screenplay, plus a share link the rest of the crew can open.
